Job Summary

A Technical Architect is responsible for designing and implementing complex technical solutions that align with an organization's strategic goals. They bridge the gap between business requirements and technical capabilities, ensuring that technology solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient. They ensure that systems are scalable, secure, and efficiently designed, often working closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and other architects to provide technical leadership across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design:

  • Develop high-level technical architectures that meet business requirements and align with organizational standards.

  • Create detailed technical specifications and design documents.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Technology Evaluation:

  • Research and evaluate new technologies to identify those that can improve the organization's capabilities.

  • Assess the suitability of technologies for specific projects or initiatives.

  • Provide recommendations on technology adoption.

• Solution Architecture:

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient technical solutions.

  • Ensure that solutions adhere to architectural principles and best practices.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that solutions are implemented correctly.

• Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills.

  • Resolve technical challenges and provide solutions.

• Standards and Governance:

  • Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

  • Govern the use of technology within the organization.

• Innovation:

1. Other Responsibilities:

- System Integration: Design integration strategies for new systems and platforms, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between various components and third-party services.

- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including engineering, product management, operations, and business teams, to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure that stakeholders understand architectural decisions and the impact on their areas.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including system designs, integration points, and technology stack details. Ensure that documentation is kept up to date as systems evolve.

- Security & Compliance: Ensure that architectures meet security and compliance requirements, including data protection, encryption, and regulatory standards. Stay informed of emerging security threats and industry trends.

- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve system performance issues. Design architectures that prioritize efficiency and high performance at scale.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Master's degree or advanced degree preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in technical architecture roles.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and frameworks.

• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions.

• Deep knowledge of various technologies and platforms.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
