About the Role:

As a Technology Administrator at SYNE, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems, networks, and devices.

Responsibilities:

  • System Administration:

    • Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.

    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

    • Apply software updates and patches.

    • Manage user accounts and permissions.

  • Network Administration:

    • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

    • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

    • Implement network security measures.

  • Hardware Management:

    • Inventory and manage IT hardware assets.

    • Coordinate hardware purchases and replacements.

  • Help Desk Support:

    • Provide technical support to employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

    • Document and track support requests.

  • Security:

    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure from threats.

    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

  • Backup and Recovery:

    • Implement and manage backup procedures to protect data.

    • Test and restore data from backups as needed.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in IT administration.

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific operating systems

  • Experience with virtualization technologies

  • Knowledge of scripting languages
